During this difficult time our trees in our gardens cannot be unsafe. Our gardens need to be safe havens for our families.

About trees have made the decision to keep our service running.

As highly trained arborists we will follow the recommendations from the government to not only safeguard you and our staff but also work in a professional mindful manner to avoid the further spread of Covid-19 whilst carrying out essential tree maintenance on your property.

About trees are trained to provide a safe service to remove large limbs and unsecured branches whilst safely and efficiently working within government guidelines.

So, How will we do this?

1- Always 2 meters apart: We are using separate vehicles to get to and from site

2- PPE: Masks, hand sanitiser and disposable nitrile gloves are supplied for all workers

3- We will provide virtual site visit using FaceTime for quoting or if we need to physically visit the site will will operate safe distancing control.

4- Tools: Staff have been issued with their own personal tools and so there is no sharing of tools permitted. tolls are disinfected daily and defined rolls are given to each worker onsite.

Tree surgery often means working at heights with ropes and chainsaws, this can be a very dangerous job; we take this extremely seriously and have measures in place to reduce these risks as much as possible.

All of about…trees staff are fully trained and qualified in the arboricultural sector, on any given contract we will have at least one member of ground-staff who can perform an aerial rescue in case the climber gets in to trouble. A rescue kit is carried at all times.

We will carry out a thorough Risk assessment prior to works commencing and have method statements detailing how we will approach the job in hand.

Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) is issued to all staff; this includes chainsaw protective boots, trousers, and helmets with ear defenders and eye protection.

An ethos of methodical practice is encouraged.
